Situated on the East Coast of Africa, St. Lucia has a long history with seafearers, hunters, Governments, travelers fisherman and holiday makers. Since the early Porteguse travelers called the area "Terra Dos Fumos", the names came and went. The main inhabitants where the Nguni tribe that occupied the region North of the Tugela and South of Algoa Bay.
