The Greater St. Lucia Wetlands Park is managed by various organizations. The executive discussions lies with the park Authority, called The Greater iSimanagaliso Wetlands Park Authority.
KZN Wildlife is tasked with the environmental well being of the park.
The park is listed as a World Heritage Site with UNESCO. This ensures that this beautiful piece of heritage that we borrow from our children will be preserved for future generations.
St. Lucia Estuary, the town, falls under the municipal management of Mtubatuba and the District management falls under Umkhanyakude. The Receiver of revenue is in Durban and the Magistrate District is Hlabisa, with the courts and licensing offices in Mtubatuba.
